After a decade of corporate legal practice in the heart of Washington, DC, Heather Batzel opened Batzel Law PLLC in 2013. Representing the World Bank in international transactions, positioning new companies for success, serving as General Counsel at a start-up company with contracts executed on six continents, and handling numerous Wall Street deals have seasoned this corporate attorney and given her a broad, savvy perspective, keen insights and down-to-earth understanding of the needs that arise in day-to-day business operations. Heather is a skilled negotiator, a strategic corporate counsel and an expert contract drafter, and in all cases a zealous advocate of her clients. Heather’s goal in opening the doors of her own firm was to provide emerging companies with top corporate and transactional representation at affordable rates. She has worked with companies at all developmental stages and of all sizes but now focuses on providing entrepreneurs with legal counsel during the full life cycle of their companies. Heather holds a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Juris Doctor from American University. Heather is licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
“I have a passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed by protecting their interests and promoting their business growth. I’ve enjoyed the satisfaction of successfully managing complex international deals and multi-million dollar acquisitions, but no thrill compares to working side-by-side with the founder as a new enterprise is brought to life.”– Heather Batzel, Esq.
